Story I wrote.
She ran. All she could do was run from the pain that his memory caused. She carried that pain with her everywhere she went. Everyone said it would help her to visit that place;everyone said the pain would ease. They were wrong. The cross on the side of the road was a constant reminder of the part of her that would always be with him. She ran and ran and ran, until running no longer dulled the pain. Then she stopped running...forever.
