Things left unsaid, being stated.
The silence left a taste of venom in my mouth
Thoughts had kept me reluctant of trying this again
The closer I got, the more you distanced yourself away
My resentment caused bitter words to pass through my lips
To think I would cower
Behind facades of different faces
None of which are true
Cannot justify the reasons behind it

Lost in who I've become
Not remembering who I was before or what I will become after
Somewhat faltering
So who am I now?

All the comfort of getting to know what's inside and out
In your innocence, getting you to become unstable
As soon as I can take flight...you take the wind that carries me
Became too good, and too far from my reach
Forgotten how to speak to you normally

Still leaving my shirt off so as to breathe free
Preconceived notions about my nostalgic naiveness
