A short poem to remember my godfather, who recently passed away


Life is short,

This cannot be defied.

But the joy you once brought us,

Shall ever abide.

Our eyes cannot see you,

But our hearts can find,

Your laughter and jokes,

Etched deep in our minds.

Neither demon nor death,

Can break our tie.

Lives may fade,

But memories never die.

Now at last the time draws nigh,

Fly free and high,

Till the day we meet again, goodbye.
