A short poem about my state of mind at a difficult time.
Holding on to sanity
By a single fraying thread,
Dreams collide with reality,
A world inside one head,
Deafened by the empty sound
Of promises once spoken,
Blind with blackness all around,
Just one thread remains unbroken.
