This is a poem in free verse about Jesus talking to us.
    My precious child,
I see you sitting there,
All by yourself.
I see you in the crowd,
With so many around you.
But don't you see me at all,
Precious child?

    Is tomorrow not another day?
You can rise in the morning,
With the sun beaming on your tired face.
I see you crying late at night,
For wars that you've lost throughout the day.
Don't you know,
Broken child,
That I too weep for you and your pain?

Do you not know that I feel when you are sad or angry?
That I know when you are full of joy or frustration?
I already know the pain that you are going through -
I have suffered through it before.
Oh, lost child,
Don't you know what I've done for you?

    A long time ago,
I suffered through all that pain and sorrow.
You poor wounded child,
I died to take your sins away.
I've tried to make you see and understand,
But you simply push me away.

You won't listen to those who tell you about me.
Stubborn child!
You refuse to read my words,
You refuse to accept me.
If only you knew,
Through me you would find true peace.
You would find healing,
Restoration for your soul.

    Precious child,
Hear my words,
Listen to my voice,
Still calling for you.
Repent of your sings,
Give them all to me.
Do you know my name,
Precious child?

    It's Jesus.
