How can people turn a blind eye to so much of what is happening in this world?
Some people go home, and pretend
                             That everything is fine, that everyone is good
But I don’t pretend
                             That everything is fine, that everyone is good
Because I have seen
                             That people oppress people
Because I have remembered
                             That ignoring and solving are polar
Because I have realized
                             That people’s hopes are abandoned
And because I don’t pretend
                             That everything is fine, that everyone is good
I can
                             help
