Short Story-141 Words
My Love

I remember the first time I saw that lovely bird. I quickly brought her inside out of the foggy London streets. There was a golden glow about her as she flew around the house. Such joy she brought to my ears, even as she squawked into the dead of night. Her beauty was greater than any other creature I had ever seen. One day while coming back from the market, I walked in on her as she attempted to fly from the window that I had clumsily left open. I grabbed at her and squeezed too hard. That beautiful golden bird died in my hands. My beauty was dead and I was the culprit. I made a vow that I would never again kidnap another beautiful young blonde girl unless I asked for her hand in marriage from her father first.
