A poem about becoming a snob and changing it.
Once, I thought I was doing a good service,
Couldn’t complain, was extremely nervous,
Didn’t know what the outcome would be,
Then it turned out to be victory!

Making money, and winning awards,
Achieving the goals I was reaching towards,
Out of touch with reality
With what a snob I was coming to be!

Holding others in a different regard,
Feisty and diligent, and fighting hard,
Knowing that the truth was what I had done,
Knowing that others were just having fun…

Once, I thought my prestige was well earned,
All of the knowledge I had borrowed and learned
Had led me to believe I was a great star,
One who didn’t have to go that far!

Now, I claim a huge bevy of tricks,
That desire and envy a whole bunch of sticks,
For knowing how I can do my best job
Keeps me too busy to be a snob!
