Secrets that Matter

the one that you thought was loyal
the one that you though you could trust
the same one that trusted you with her life

The one who made you smile
The one who let you free
The one that always came back in the end

There goes one more friend, off with the others
The one who you could trust
The one who knew everything about you
The one who understood
There she goes

Suddenly, you look around
and they've all gone
Off with the others
And you stand alone
waiting
watching
wanting just one.
Just one person
that cared for you
that prayed for you
that thought of you
that wanted you.

Then there comes that day
where you think you've found them.
You think of them constantly
And wish to be around them
You think you have a hope
of finally being happy
And knowing that there is someone there

But then all your hopes are shattered,
for their heart is longing for another
the one who has all the love they can get
but none can be spared
for the one that needs it most

You want to give up
You want to let everyone know
Just how you feel
You just want someone to care
That's all you want

And nobody can see
Nobody can tell
Nobody can know
the secrets and longings
that tear at your heart
ripping up your insides

So why can't anybody see
why can't they tell
why can't they know
the secrets that matter most?


**A lot happened the day that i'm writing this. Its not perfect, or maybe its not even good, but i had to get those feelings out. I just want somebody to know.
