the night we met after long
THE NIGHT

The moon was shining like a large silver coin
With dents and marks on it’s heart
Clouds were moving as if falling in a slope
Veiling moon now and then
Stars were in the background
Coming out every time the moon was veiled
The game was going on incessantly
It was full moon night
I left to meet my beloved under that roof
In the flickering shades of light and dark
She was waiting in the garden
I was moving with the flickering shades of joy and anxiety
Joy of seeing and meeting her after so long
Anxiety, if not finding her there and merry
I reached the garden, it was full of trees and rose bushes
Swaying with the wind, as if bowing to welcome me
Garden was full of fragrance, the roses were at full blossom
I felt her, I inhaled her as deep as I could, I was ecstatic
The fragrance was spread every where, where could she be
The moon was shining, and under the high tree I saw a silhouette
Through the foliage, the moon was touching her with his shines
I felt jealous of moon, I hustled towards the tree
There she was, sitting delicately leaning on the trunk
She had a rose in her hands and was plucking it’s petals one by one
As if counting the time, I took in reaching her
I sat before her and looked in to her face
Moon was still touching her, pulling away the veil of darkness for me
I was not jealous now, I was just staring, thoughts had left me alone
And how strange aloneness it was, filled with her fragrance
A fragrance which was perceived by every part of my very being
Then she stood up gently and offered her hand smiling
I took her hand and we moved, in the direction of hope and happiness
We held each other, her head on my shoulder and we moved slowly
Up above, the game of light and dark was still going on,
The cold breeze was filling every void with life
The roses were throwing their fragrance,
Everything was still there, every thing was still beautiful
Nature was singing her beautiful song through it’s children
And we moved on without uttering a word,
But we felt a lot, conveyed a lot every moment
And nothing would require words
We moved on so huddled and lost in each other
Shining was the moon, fragrant were the roses
Cold was the breeze, singing were the trees
Oblivious but completely drenched in the effects of surrounding
In those eternal blissful moments, we moved together
