Missing my Grandfather
Sitting around with nothing to do
My mind races quickly with thoughts abput you

I sit here and ponder the things that I feel
If this painfully delighting thing is quite real

My heart beat, it races as I draw in each breath
I encompass reality with each thought of death

The choices are hard, when you can't think
Nobody knows you're this close to the brink

See all it would take is one little slice
It would all be over, that cut would suffice

The joy it would bring to just see your face
As i rise into heaven with poise and with grace

It has been too long since I've seen you last
I can't dwell on the memories of you from the past

So I guess this is fate, I guess this is true
My dearest grandfather, my wishes for you

Are that you will look down on me, protect me each day
From the power and perils, the pain and dismay

The discomfort of living without you by my side
The distraught and the anguish that I must now hide

My wishes for you that I must converse
Is that you will be happy, be free from my curse

I know that you love me cause I love you too
And I know it is time that I bid you adieu

So goodbye to you pop pop, I know we must part
But I won't be without you, you'll be in my heart
