About my first few weeks of high school.
There's a window in the back room
And the light is always on
And he always signs right off
Whenever I log on
And the color of the curtain
Is distracting from the glass
And the door is always shut
Whenever I walk past

Monday morning is a torture
But by lunch I'm feeling fine
And I won't fall off the rooftop
If I never toe the line
Friday morning is unwelcome
Another week is done
When time is moving so fast
How can we say we're young?

There's a streetlight on the corner
You can see the rain fall down
And there's thunder in the distance
But I never hear a sound
I stand beneath the bus stop
Though the bus is running late
It's raining and I'm soaking
But I think that I can wait

Tuesday morning is a torture
But that afternoon I'm fine
That guy's t-shirt says 'You Suck'
And I think that it's a sign
Thursday morning goes so slowly
I feel I'm still asleep
I move from class to class
But I'm following my feet

This song is going nowhere
So I think I'm gonna quit
I nearly fell asleep
But the coffee tastes like shit
I think today I'll step back
And watch the world go by
When the south border is flooded
There's no reason to cry

Wednesday morning is okay
No one hardly moves at all
And I stare at my feet
When you pass me in the hall
Now my hand is getting tired
From writing all these words
And this may just be the worst song
That no one's ever heard
