A bit of absurd humor.
Panarchy

One day,
The so-called Laws of the Universe
Decided to go on vacation,
Having found their predictability
A source of boredom
They could no longer endure.

The first to slip free was Time!
Instead of progressing forward
In regular trudging steps,
She decided to take off
In a wild, sideways spiral dance.

The Laws of Mathematics
Broke free from their cold, grim, rational cells,
And took on the role of jesters.

Light began zig-zagging about at irregular
And totally illegal speeds.

Chaos at first liked this state of affairs,
But then became completely confused.

Cause and effect took turns alternating with each other.

The Big Bang began showing up in the
Most unwelcome places.

Events ceased to have beginnings and ends,

And the Universe came under the jocular and capricious rule
Of Hilarity and Absurdity.
