a short poem about nature
In the early throes of dawn
lives a peace that never lasts.
While others slumber on
bright birds do break their fast.
Sweet swell the skies with song
'til darkness soon has passed,
when sun's heralds swoop swiftly on
to brush the heavens with their backs.
