What is life but a silly stain on the earth?
We prance about, self-righteous and pompous
Arrogantly hoping to taste new
Every day, knowing yet never believing
That lady death looms over us constantly
Feeding off our decadence with gleeful
Resolve, sneering and sniping at us till
We fall, never knowing that we fell at all
