This is a poem I wrote when I was feeling down. Please critique.
These stairs are getting steeper
Yet I try to climb
I still try to run the race
But I am losing time

They say the night is darkest
Right before the dawn
Now that life is at it's darkest
I must carry on

I leap the hurdles
And I still run
I bare these burdles
In search of sun
