flash fiction
He was waiting for her on the sidewalk in front of the ticket booth. He was adorable: white adidas shorts, white t-shirt, and his chestnut curls cascading over his ocean eyes. They both smiled as their gazes met. The lights darkened as the previews appeared. Her heart waited in anticipation as she strategically placed her palm face up on her knee. Nerves paralyzed her as his hand gripped hers for the first time. Their sweaty hands interwined resulted in a stomach full of pterodactyls. She watched him lean over and she leaned it, she thought this would be it, their first kiss! He did not pucker, but muttered instead "I'm going to the bathroom." She wished she were dead.
