A short poem based on life expereiences.
Fair? What is?

Nothing is fair –

So it is said –

Neither life nor love!

A longing deep inside

Never to be fulfilled!

A yearning so strong,

Leaving wounds all along!

Where is the hope?

Where is the early love?

Gone? Forgotten?

Never to return?

The world has it all,

Nothing with held.

Look into my palm

It is empty.

Empty – the womb

That aches to be fulfilled.

Empty – the wallet

That crumples with dearth.

Empty – the heart

That longs to love lovingly.

In this dreary land,

Through this forlorn patch,

You - a cooling stream,

A sheltering thatch!

Indeed, nothing is fair -

Someone has said -

But everything is lovely!
