A poem I wrote on October 7, 2008
Sixteen and beautiful,
Heart young and vulnerable,
Eyes bright but tearful,
Nevermind her careless words.

Smile forced but believable,
So precious and darling,
What the world will never know,
Is her pain.

Trapped behind glass,
A display for all to see,
Oh so pretty,
But anything from tame.

Young and naive are her thoughts,
But feelings are beyond her years,
Words of a mouth of sixteen years,
Are rarely, if ever, heard.

Drowning in emotions,
That no one understands,
The skin of a porcelain rag doll,
Never to be touched again.

Although that's all anyone wants,
From a sixteen year old girl,
From a joke.
