Some things we lose as we mature.

Sun comes into view as I peek through fluffs of clouds,
contemplating a time when dreams were allowed.

A time when dreams were mere steps beyond reality;
wishes were windows with no fear of finality.

Possibilities endless, hearts filled with infinite hope.
Clock's tick didn't tell us, we're at the end of our rope.

Imagination encouraged, no time was a waste;
life drifted by serenely, never in haste.

To live that time again, simply for a day,
where sunshine's a promise, and life's filled with play.

Escape from this hectic world, where time moves too fast;
embrace the child within, making memories last.
