about my mother, sadly...
I lay in bed, completely awake
It's you fault I feel this way
you weren't there for us after he came along
But, hey, what else can i say?

You wasted your time with him
he wasn't there for you
you wasted our time, my childhood
and I can't ever forgive the things you do

I learned to do things for myself
because you weren't there to help me
and, sadly, that is how it will stay
until you open your eyes and see

You no longer have a little girl
I now take her place
I can't forgive you for hurting dad
you were blind to the look on his face

so now I lay here, fully awake
sitting here, waiting for sleep, I sigh
as a child, I did the same
as I listen to the silent lullaby
