a short poem for a contest on wolves
The lone wolf ravages the peaceful land.
A land astray from contraband.
We believe peace is strong and true.
Come now friends, is this anything new?

One lone wolf in who rages with hunger.
He can destroy peace with a roll of thunder.
Though we look at the wolf in a savage way,
is it possible they ever get a say?

Who's to say what is wrong from right?
Why is it we must always fight?
We always judge on what we first see.
Thinking "That's how they must always be."

The lone wolf who fights for his right to survive.
Will be looked at as a fight to thrive.
But the lone wolf streams the image of an out casted member.
Or the only survivor of a pack that is a lifeless endeavor.

The lone wolf bears the weight of a mourning somber.
For in which one is the loneliest number.
In a once peaceful land, it leaves its blame.
On the lone wolf who claims his fame.

For they are afraid of the one.
And no matter what they say the deal is done.
The lone wolf that rages during a season.
Leaves its home without a given reason.
