beauty of childhood
I am happy – that is there for all to see
Endless it seems the smiles that come from within
I feel reckless and want to trip and fall
Wild as a boar I want to simply rush through the breeze

Sitting perched at the edge of a bone
I am the happiest when I go for a stroll
I love to feel the air that gushes in
I like the touches of love –
She makes me feel on top of the world

Jumping around I like to kick the dirt beneath
Life is to celebrate and to get up and fall
Laughing out loud I like to swing and swirl
Joy of it all with not a fear within

Standing beneath the water fall
His hands come to hold me still
But I somehow wriggle out and manage to get more
And some more of the water on my skin

The four-legged looks at me
Inquiringly wagging his tail
Me happier than before and give him a hug to show him my love
There They are, not surprisingly waiting to scoop me away

Colours of joy I see all around
Be it my kaput giraffe or be it the yellow flower with black seeds
Oh I haven’t seen that I think ….that is something newbeyond the flower, that winged thing!

Having said this and done that
I have had enough of a day’s quest and feel a little cynical
But the wrinkled hands wait forever to pat me
To say all is ok and this bizarre world is indeed real

Lying on something cosy with my eyes tight shut
I whisper into the ears of my tiger that
I am lucky to be born as this crazy vagabond
Again I haven’t been more curious about tomorrow
Until now when it is just hours away!
