A simple and short piece created to inspire a level of awareness about life.
Reflection

When I look into the mirror I feel that something is missing.
They are the pieces of my life which I have been laying together.
I see them interlocking and forming the image of my existence.
But they feel empty somehow, construed to the point of despair.

When I look into the mirror I can always see the lines.
They both divide and hold me together in a fragile balance.
I have experienced and learned many things to no end.
But they are what make up each of us and our uniqueness.

When I look into the mirror I realize it will happen someday.
They will finish my picture and immortalize my existence.
I cannot see how it will look like since I do not know myself.
But I see it clearly in the shape of my memories.

When I look into the mirror I see what holds us together.
They speak volumes while saying nothing.
I can say everything while meaning nothing.
But the question remains, what am I missing?
