The White Witch and Aslan were once in love...
I'm thinking about turning some content into a song - i do not own the narnia characters etc.

***

You are my Lion - stone cold on a death bed
I've a lot of friends of friends as an enchantress
Sunlight, springs sensibilities around you
Golden mane and strength enough
To hold a grudge
And still carry me through my snow
My eternal winter
And then what I thought was a wonderland

I remember youth and my arms around your shoulders
My innocence in your trusted hands - and girlish laughter
Stopped dead by your eyes
The lightest shade of honesty, like everything was happening
All in that one moment
But they were cold - precious gems, weren't they after all?
And they hold none of my heart's warmth
And so my ice came

Your growl is a battle of wits, whipped into sense
By my threats
You may
Smear my name
Prince Charming...
But I know about fondness
Just like you
Wouldn't believe
When I told you
What I was up to

I had never been the bad girl, just a broken one
I was bittersweet, Mister... but not a bad moment

Intoxicated, I stole your crown
Wore it like a novelty, took a photo in the mirror
Tossed it to the floor and said it should stay that way
But you picked it up and you posed the same
And since then, you have not stopped making that joke
When in my presence

You changed though. Got this ridiculous notion
Of turning children into saints, and going throught these motions
Of proper conduct. Some night you had me hiding in the wardrobe crying
Into the collar of the shirt that I thought looked best on you
Give me up for religion when I worshipped you

Caught you with the two girls around you- both minors!
You were tongue tied, I tied you up
Faced you to the mirror, kissed your cheek
And threw the key out of the bathroom window
Didn't stop you doing well for yourself. Feels good to know
That I was there first though
I learned that none can tame a savage beast

Still though, I'm a Queen
Off to court with my power suit pressed and dry cleaned
Swords drawn, you pulled the fast one of good vs. bad
I held you by the throat with my lawyers for every penny you had
Didn't say what I didn't have to
The incident with the kids may have messed the PR career up

And all a sudden, to spit in my face, you're the television presenter
Watershed policies keep me from waltzing into the studio
to give you a piece of mind - because lets face it
You don't have one of your own
I've a finger on the red button
Thanks to political prowess - I was never afraid to take the lead
So watch your step now I'm big brother

And now, you're back in the room.
Present day. We've grown up, so sometimes I look back
The interviewers ask if I'm after a guy
The quiet detached 2.6 of a family life
I admit - rest assured...
Never more have I been fascinated with a man
That I can't stand
Than my sworn enemy/lover... hero
