A short, poetic reflection on contemporary society.
The suns feels warm, but it melts the snow
And ponders unheard cries for an aesthetic foe
Another bitter distraction for every cure
Planning a perfect ending, both blind and impure

And seek not salvation for your soul
For my heart seeks a remedy for the cold
Pensive and nervous for what it may find
The subtle absence of an open mind

So drink one more to forgetting your troubles
At least until the walls have fallen and crumbled
Maybe I’ll whisper and they’ll hear me then
Or at least check in every time and again

But for now farewell to my dear friends
Until I see you again for the lives we must mend
