I Want To Write Of The Darkness

Dedicated to StaiNed-House Targaryen who wants to see my dark side.

I want to write of things in the dark
that are hovering just out of sight;
of the things that prey on my weakness
and invade my frail mind in the night.

I'd write of black demons that taunt me
with malevolent sneers on their face;
demons emerging from the abyss
with loathing for the whole human race.


Or write of shadows that come creeping
to caress with mind chilling terror;
shadows born of the fateful moment
I committed eternal error, but...


My soul is filled with sunshine and warmth,
where dark beings could never survive;
sunshine that glows from within my heart
and makes me glad I'm alive, so...

I'll read of the darkness of others
who I'm happy to have as my friend;
friends who fuel the internal fire
of warm sunshine that never shall end.
