A short poem
I feel like I’m melting away in a monochromatic existence with only my thoughts for company.
Thoughts from a mind that functions improperly and sees a distorted world full of disappointment.
I feel full.
I feel empty.
I feel numb.
Life is an endless space lasting forever through which I walk alone.
Escape.
A word I long to hear.
A word which never comes.
A word I no longer believe exists.
Take me away from this stark reality into an abstract world which has no need for understanding.
Let my mind live on without analysis.
Let me be myself.
Relinquish your power over me.
