The Fallen Star

It happened so quickly
Black, wind against me
And now I’m here on earth
Not knowing what to do

I look around at the silver grass
At the disillusioned trees
I feel lost
Then I look up

The night sky
Blue and mystical over the face of the stars
My fellow friends
All together, not one alone

I have fallen a long way
As I look up to see them all
Floating on their delicate feet
I cry my tears, my soul

This world is so cold
How can I believe in tenderness?
When I believe in nothing anymore
How can this happen?

I’m a fallen star
Separated by gravity
My soul split in two
I don’t feel lost

I am lost.
