We are all connected
Listen to
The hum of insects
Short to live
Frantically they flap
Their frail little wings

‘No, not I’

Laugh and sing
The larger creatures
Shameful kings
Yet rocks they tumble
Fall to the ground

A whimper
From shattered bodies
Is the sound
Haughty voices fade
Beneath the ground
