Thoughts about what is missing
Breaking silence,
The curtain falls.
Timeless Distance,
The longing conquers all.

Words connecting,
Colliding in my mind.
All that’s left to cling to,
The solace that I find.

The thoughts race,
Resuming their choking hold.
Imminent disaster,
Exhuming memories untold.

The missing piece,
Coveted by the heart.
In distance it dwells,
What would pacify lies so far apart.
