From May 2006
Our life is like the ocean.
It crashes on the shore with a shattering force.
Love.
Friends.
Dreams.
Miracles.
Lessons to learn.
It mingles with the sand, buries itself in deep,
Somehow trying to cling to shore.
But the waves always get pulled back in
Diluting itself once more with the ocean,
The womb of time.

It’s painful sometimes.
The water that helped fuse the sand together,
To create our sandcastle memories, is the same water that destroys them
Carries the beauty back in.
But then again, if it didn’t, we’d never get to experience
That moment when you’re the
First one on the beach,
And everything is so
Beautifully untouched.
Empty.
Waiting to be personalized by footprints,
Livened with sandcastle memories once again.

And if you think about it,
Those sandcastle memories and perfect waves
Are never truly gone.
Once can never really separate
The sea from the shore,
Or the sky from the earth,
Or two hearts that learned to beat as one.
Those links can never break.
We are always one.
