A poem about my favorite vacation spot...
The rain goes pitter-patter on the windshield
The clouds rising high above the fields
As we crossed onto the island's bridge
We're struck by the beauty of the mountain's ridge

We stroll the pathways along Jordan's pond
Each step strengthening our families bond
The wind whistling through the trees
Almost being knocked down by a stiff breeze

Rocks covering the beaten path
Our feet suffering nature's wrath
Over the bridge and through the woods
As the wild wind whips around, we tighten our hoods

Over the hill, we're almost there
The sky is gray and the trees are bare
The end of the trail is in sight
And getting there was worth the fight
