Inspired by watching my friend follow his love of piano, and making me remember my own.

The caress of the artist.
Gentle and sure.
Sweeping over keys with the elegance of a master.
Determined in his craft, in his thoughts.
Spinning threads of sound and life
to penetrate a darkened heart.

Creation is his passion,
and that passion is intoxicating
to the soul of a young girl.
Sends her into spinning rapture.
A magician and his audience.
Illusions of beauty that
whisper to heart and mind
and penetrate my darkened heart.
