What would life be like for you if you had no choice of life or death?
beautiful flower upon the ground
velvet petals gently flying
to drop themselves beneath bridge
within the river crying

how sad it must all truly be
to live one season growing
then be plucked up from the earth
too soon you meet all knowing

still busy bees fly up above
as wind blown grass is flowing
and fish still swim the brook below
your petals gently floating

oh did you fear this day would come
premature before winter the winter sun
were you afraid to face the end
how unexpectedly all fates bend

how beautiful you still seem to me
your petals floating on the breeze
oh who was I to end your life?
so here I write in memory
