Until the love is in me

The night walks
strolling in to my consciousness
telling me: sleep now
but my thoughts are too alert
to be dragged to the safe feeling of
sleep

The night is black
outside
my clothes are color cascades
on my unsteady
clothesline
leaning against the wall

All the minutes during the day
follows me
grows to complex memories
mixed
truth and relativity

Let me be awake another moment
I want to sleep with beauty
printed on my heart
don’t let me fall asleep until
the love is in me
