in honor of Deneb Hokule'a, The Star Kitten
The Perseid Meteor Shower

Stars all around me brightly fall
as I lay in the grass so soft

And watch the stars streak 'cross the sky
As Hokule'a plays in the hot August night

It is a night of memories
Shared only by my cat and me

Deneb Hokule'a, sweet star kitten,
I will love you 'til times end.

Written in memory of my beloved Deneb Hokule'a, Star Kitten Extraordinaire

*Note - Deneb is a star in the constellation Cygnus. Hokule'a means Star of Joy in Hawaiian, and is the name for the star Arcturus
