Catastrophe, by T. J. Shemaly
come hearts so joyful, listen to me in careful
in this life be faithful, don't waste a tear
for bothers of matters, never end nor alter
series of hammers, so quit the fear
history with its leaders, are continous rivers
of wars and keeners, peace is never found
so faint hearts quit gaming, it's no place for playing
even devils get bleeding, no one reaches the cloud

come let me show thee, the stories that meant to be
about them either he or she, the kings and queens
so famous were they, crossing each bay
with games they did play, of fates and keens
but sooner or later, the grave is braver
the names are lost forever, only for good of deed
so start your cry and lament, for a fame that was bent
you'll never make a rent, of height in need

Gilgamesh the mighty, in Ur stood so highly
in Iraq it was he, where the rivers run
he was eternity seeker, behind mountains and rivers
just to live forever, even older than the sun
the poor boy then after, the antidote from him they capture
he lost it forever, with a bird behind the cloud
so mortal he got to be, and his soul must set to free
like everyone has to be, just knocked to ground

Pharaohs of Egypt, dynasties they always kept
after that to the crypt, they went along
captured lands and glories, that was told in stories
on sands they were the lilies, so sweet the song
but thunder bolts keep striking, no where for hiding
shut of their lighting, but pyramids did stand
how large I wonder, those people did wander
no matter how wider, they couldn't keep a stand

the son of Failakos, he was called Alexandros
for the Greek he was a boss, owned the far and near
east and west he travelled, with men not counted
seized and conquered, the land and air
but to his grave, should go the man's brave
his men took what he gave, and tore apart
see what happened, for what he captured
that's how it was ended, again the life did bite

Oh! how Rome was rising, like a star glancing
of Greeks they made a fading, oh how sour it was
wide spread empire, just what kings desire
as I tell you Sire, no joke it was!
but the tribes got roaming, over the bording
denied but knocking, the great city of Rome
read of the deeds of Barbars, the Celts and Vandals
the Huns are some others, and others later to come

Carthage with its port, so busy in transport
and made Rome mad about, the highly fame
Hannibal the hero, he got the ego
to set the elephants a go, and to Rome he came
but winds of fortune, got low so often
no help he did obtain, and down to his knees
so the fortune city, Romans turned so peaty
to it give a pity, it was for the king to please

Siegfried the tighter, the bravest fighter
he got a slaughter, in Nebilungenleid
go read the story, of the fading fury
of hero so glossy, that Kriemheld did bide
the gallant warrior, got tricked by his saviour
naked of his armor, rolling on the floor
see what happens, to the man's best kins
strokes below the hips, then cries no more

the lords of deserts, just rose like wizards
tribes of many hazards, knocked down the fear
a large empire, a flaming fire
a science hire, of far and near
Mongols did break them, the Turks uphold them
lost is their rhythm, across the lands
how large were they, tell me where are they?
just like a chess play, crushed by roving bands

the Scots of Mary, of peasants they made an army
no enough cavalry, they would ever need
ask Bannockburn, who had the high turn
and started to burn, and did the good of deed
but the sons of Edward, got lost in hazard
he wasn't a coward, but he got to lose
and that's what they did, they sat a forbid
and Edward to his bed, sent by the hero Bruce

so my friend no wonder, the life is a hunter
for grieves as thunder, nothing good to bear
great the sorrow, you might see tomorrow
close your eyes and follow, the Lord so dear
Catastrophes awaiting, just keep on saving
for days becoming, of hard and ease
I hope my stories, of fading glories
and turning furies, to your ear to please

many are the heroes, of might and egoes
went in wind blows, mentioned in folk and lore
reckon the meaning, and get the cunning
to face what's hiding, of life afore
born on crying, and people smiling
so get down laughing, with tears around
finished my rhymings, about the tidings
of ancient fightings, and to goodbyes I'm bound
