A Quintessential Bed of White


She shivered, drawing the ends of her shawl closer, the winter cold seeping into her bones and chilling them. The graveyard was barely visible, hidden underneath layers of snow; a quintessential bed of white.

She gave a bitter smile; only war could warp people’s perceptions and make them see beauty in the ugliness of life.
