poem subject loss.
the loss

i lost it all one winters' day
the devil came
for me to play

he took my man
my love, my life
my role discarded
as the wife.

the days were cold
i felt the bite
i spat my venom
to the night

i bled
i wept
then mopped my tears
got off the floor
and faced my fears

twas loss that
tore my world apart
but loss that gave
my birth of heart
