A free verse about a wish upon a shooting star.
My Shooting Star

I smile and close my eyes-
I make a wish-
and my eyes flutter open
a silver light trails behind the falling star
like the black cloth of the night was being torn open-
revealing the glory of heaven
I close my eyes again-
please God
make my wish come true...
