love lost, forgotten life
THE STAIN OF LIFE

I knew the happiness I once cherished

was quickly slipping away.

As  I accepted my fait, my grasp weakened

and my happiness tumbled and crashed

upon the rocks.

The happiness that once was;

swiftly being carried in all direction

of the sea.

It is now replaced by the unbearable

pain of loneliness which slowly eats at

my very soul.

Soon, all that will remain is this

shell of a body, that surely will fall,

and seep into the porous earth until

I’m forgotten.

The only proof that life existed, is the

stain that remains upon the surface.
