In honor of Florida's Rainy Season
Almost here,
Air runs cold,
And sweet tastings sneak into the day
As though a god sent scent to pave the way for rain.

A sauntering, rhythmic score,
A tapping on the roof.
Amidst the downpour
At-heart children dance the time away.

All days that, in the sky’s endless sea,
Are colored grey by rain clouds
As if a misplaced photograph of old,
Are good enough for me.
