While preparing to move, I rediscovered a poem I wrote way back in junior high school.
This is a very early piece of poetry I found while packing to move.  I think it's necessary for us to revisit things we've written in the past.  It reminds us where we've been and shows us how far we've come.

Night Flight

In the darkness of the night,
I close my eyes and take a flight.
Soaring above lands of old,
Telling stories never before told.

Pirates warring on a sea that roars,
Wizards selling potions in their magic stores,
A dragon battling an armored knight,
Soldiers fighting to make the world right.

Sailing through the blackness of space,
Seeing events yet to take place.
Civilizations searching the sky,
Trying to answer the question of why.

I jump from star to star, journeying to different places,
Encountering many new things and wonderful alien races.
They fly around in spaceships and speak their own diction,
And I can visit them in my mind with the use of fiction.

Making my trip of fantasy a blast,
From the future to the past.
I write down my story as only seen by me,
Which is the only way it should ever be.

I open my eyes in the morning light,
Feeling that all the world is right.
I smile as I finish my flight...
At least until tomorrow night.
