just some poetry about my diabetes
Bleed me and drug me

its my disease

Looking with sympathy at my trembling hands

My sweating brow

You shy away

You know what must come next, and you don’t want my burden

No memory of my pain

No blood on your hands

Bleed me if you can…

Its my disease

The world starts to spin out of control

People speak faster than sound

And I can move slower than time

I cant tell if I’m up or down

Would you drug me

To save me

I’m saved?

Hah. But not for long

Its my disease

This land does hate me

It must

Mocking me in the day

Tempting me during the night

I cry, but I fight

Or I don’t…

I know I should.

But some days I cant.., or I wont

But it doesn’t matter much to you

Its my disease

So bleed me and drug me
