She has been my friend since infancy,
the rolling sea, the rolling sea...
I am sure she holds my destiny,
that rolling sea, that rolling sea...

Emerald green, or the grey of a dove,
the rolling sea, the rolling sea...
the more I see, the more I love,
my rolling sea, my rolling sea...

Where the snowy waves sing endlessly,
the rolling sea, the rolling sea...
When I have gone please return me,
to the roll-ing sea, to the roll...ing...sea...
