A poem about a woman, scorned, losing her life to loss.
My face contorts.
See how ugly I am
without you?
I can feel your pride
from here!
Radiating through the World
Like an inescapable
Earthquake
CRACK
into my heart.
When will
this aftershock pass?

Sickly pale, I haunt
my own memories.
Cracking throat burning
as I whisper "Why?"
Oh, the clock can tick
and tock! On and on!
It tortures me!
Barking at the hands
As they move on.
I will learn nothing!
For I felt my clock stop
The moment he said
"Sorry."
