The first letters of each sentence form the core of the poem.
My life was afloat a sinking ship
Year after year my tears would drip
Before I knew it I was a walking corpse
Endless reasons against the days and nothing in the fors
Sustaining on a single bead of hope
That sooner or later I'd be able to cope
Free myself and take a gleeful flight
Reserve a place amongst the stars for a darker night
In the pursuit of happiness I unraveled a soul
Encompassing a treasure of colors manifold
Never had I been so utterly mesmerized
Drunk and drugged and lost in his eyes
Riding on a white horse he was my knight in shining armor
Injected me with sentience and gave me my retreat
People will not ever perceive how YOU flow in my blood
U my love are the archangel who's transformed my parched life into mud.....
