A Journey in aspects of life. Please R&R
The door was cracked
And I peeked inside
Atop a pile of bones
Sat a man with nothing but pride
Within this cavern of broken marrow
The air held nothing but silence
Gasping breath, echoes ringing
Hollow eyes stare their penance

Fled from one to another
Different like night and day
Peaceful, warmth and welcoming
Perfection in which one could stay
Yet still it felt so lonely
Disturbed by overwhelming fear
Unable to find the source for such
Perhaps your presence no longer here

Left there with a hunger
Continued on my journey
Longing for a companion
Wandering halls is all I see
The door ahead is curious
Bronze with a face engraved
Staggering footfall slow my rhythm
Vision blooms out of wary daze

This door seems to call out
“come in what is there to lose”
I know that it is everything
But to you I can not prove
This door is not for me just yet
My walk is not done
My mission here is greater still
I will not give up on one.
