This poem symbolizes that which can only be joined by a simple element. Enjoy.
I feel the rain again,
How can something so cold make me feel the warmth I feel right now?
With your pool blue eyes misted with tears,
still a beautiful sight,
I brush my hand across your cheek.
A slight smile.

I continue to feel our rain.
Something so strange that attracts our love...but how?
I reach into your mind and erase all your fears,
and you give them up without a fight.
I've finally found that of which you speak,
Our love.

Such a vast terrain,
Like our connection was meant to be, yet someone, some thing, will not allow.
As if a repulsive element had been present all these years.
but I know it is out of spite.
Would God allow something so unique?
or are we forbidden?

We are like Earth and sky,
I kiss your lips,
Never meant to touch.
Your sweet embrace.
Connected only by rain.
My breathing has faltered, as you lean away the rain stops.
